It seems that homeless people are fat at the same rate as housed people.  I think anyone with a brain should know why.  The cheapest food and the most convenient for people who don’t have a kitchen is CARB-O-LICIOUS!  It’s bread, pasta that includes spaghetti, lasagne and all sorts of noodles) cakes, candy and other sugary snacks that are cheap and also donated to food pantries, churches and soup kitchens.

I mean, if I had a better mind, I would find something to do with all this bread.  Something that didn’t involve people eating it.  Dog treats?  Let’s mull it over.

I need to lose weight (still).  I am thinking about starting a different blog that documents my weight loss.  I could take a picture of all the beautiful free food I will be turning down.  I mean, who could turn down a lemonade flavored cup cake from a high end coffee shop?  Seriously!!!  It was so yummy.

Anyway, tomorrow I get my blood tested IF I remember to fast after 8 pm tonight.  I don’t usually eat that late but perversely, someone will probably invite me to dinner or something and I will forget.  NO.  I’m going to do this.

I also went be a church today to try to find a cheap mechanic I lost contact with (he resigned from the repair shop he was working at).  The church people tried to corral me into the service but I escaped out the back.  Ha!  I go to church five days a week in order to get my coffee and breakfast.  Just because I’m a free-sleeper doesn’t mean I need more church that that!  I don’t even litter!  This place plays loud rock music.  I don’t want to lose what’s left of my hearing.  And yeah.  I’ve heard enough about the mysterious god to last me a lifetime.  What makes these pastors better than me?  Better public speaking skills?  Better persuasion techniques?  Bah.

I’m feeling a little ornery today.  Hope I don’t get into any trouble.  🙂

What do you guys think about my homeless weight loss idea?  What should I call the blog?

Same problem in survivalism. All the food that keeps is a carb-fest. Sugar crap, breads, pasta, rice.

The homeless don’t get a lot of meat or fruit/veggies. No one throws away the good stuff until it’s pretty bad. Unless you know someone in the produce or meat department at a grocery store.

Free food is like charity in general ,always at someone elses convenience , and always at minimal cost . It would be easier if you set up a rudimentary kitchen in the van.Veggies /dried fruits and nuts , and oatmeal can be stored with no refrigeration for quite some time. People have lived off of dried corn ,rice and beans with no effect. It would ( the food ) , cost something like 20/30 bucks for a 3 weeks to a months supply and you could still go to the free food places for starches ( you need some ) and sweets.

Then you could always use some of the “free food ” as bait to trap squirrels / rabbits for meat ( ;-P )

Oh yeah , call it “TAKING CONTROL “
