The Boring Stuff

I kind of know what I need to do to succeed-to succeed in a modest way, at least.  I have to do the boring things that need doing.

It’s easier to dream than to write that article, do that marketing on social media, make that phone call, persuade that person, go to that meeting etc.  Day after live long day.

But I can do it.

PS.  What’s the cheapest way to get photos for my blog without stealing them, paying for them or taking them myself (my phone camera’s not too hot).

About Maureen, Living in a Van

I'm a free-sleeper living in a van in the prettiest part of the world. I do this partly due to financial circumstances and partly because I love a good adventure.

Just rip your pictures off the net, like everyone else. The odds of getting sued are very small.

Ha! YOU are bad influence! 🙂

Sometime I use photos from reddit or places like that for my craigslist ads. I figure most of those people would be flattered to have their photos featured in my ads.

Take them yourself. A good camera helps, but your phone camera is, I promise you, better in many ways than any camera Ansel Adams ever used. And he would SO have been doing post-processing using software, if it existed in his time, so start maybe with something like Picasa (free from Google). If it would help, borrow a book from the library about photo composition. And one about street photography, because you’re living in an amazingly street-photo interesting situation.

Ok. I probably just need to learn how to use the camera in my phone better. One can adjust for lighting etc. Thanks B. (Is B really your name? LOL!)
