Standing up for myself

Two homeless women were very rude to me a few months ago and I just walked away.  One was someone I’ve known for a while and liked before this happened.

My usual MO is to forget about these things and when I see the person just say hi etc.  For some reason yesterday when I ran into the woman I used to like yesterday, I reminded her of what had happened a few months ago and told her she had been rude to me.

It’s not really fun to do this kind of thing but really how wimpy is it to be nice to people when they are bitchy to me (and I’m pretty sure talking behind my back)?

Enough of that.  I have been eating better lately which is helping me feel less tired and sick during the day.  This is good.

I am making schedules for myself everyday and trying to stick to them.  That feels good too.  I get a lot more done.

I have been listening to TEDTalk podcasts on my phone while I am working.  Many of the speakers are kind of over the top with  multiculturalism nonsense BUT they do have interesting thoughts to share and listening to them gets MY mind working.

Here’s on of the speakers I heard today.  http://www.ted.com/talks/jacek_utko_asks_can_design_save_the_newspaper.html

Hope you had fun today too.

About Maureen, Living in a Van

I'm a free-sleeper living in a van in the prettiest part of the world. I do this partly due to financial circumstances and partly because I love a good adventure.

Cool. Maybe if newspapers had some useful information instead of shilling for their bosses, people might be more interested.

I also use daily schedules alot. It helps. Tynan does as well.

Hey, do you do requests? How do you chose a good sleeping site? Any tricks to go to sleep while in a van?
