Sleeping Bag Number 1

I saw a rather dirty man in this place where I picked up some dinner.  I thought he might be a free sleeper (aka homeless) but I wasn’t sure.  Sometimes people get dirty from their work.  Anyway…I had kind of forgotten about my plan to give away sleeping bags.  I’m funny like that.  My brain is not to be trusted sometimes!  So I actually almost got back to my van with my food when I remembered.

I went back into the food joint and just asked him if he needed a sleeping bag.  He basically said “Yes” because he’s sleeping in his truck.  He’s stuck in this one spot at the moment because his truck needs repair (that would be ME if my mom hadn’t sent me money).

So in an hour I’m going to go to my friend’s house and pick up a sleeping bag.  I’m pretty tempted to give the gentlemen mine….he’s a very big man and my sleeping bag is over six feet long.  But J is trying to steer me into just giving the guy one or two of the extra ones he and T have in the garage.  Perhaps that would be best.  The one I have is made for cold temps and I guess I need it as much as he does.

That’s two free free sleepers I may have met today.  The other potential one is a friend T made that washes cars near her work.  This guy’s a sweetheart.  Very quiet.  A hard worker.  T isn’t sure he’s homeless.  He doesn’t have a car.  Hard to say.  He says he has written a book.  He’s not bad looking.  Seems I’m a sucker for handsome (maybe) free sleepers.

I can imagine my kind readers being a little alarmed at that last statement.  Don’t worry.  There’s no way I’m getting involved with a free sleeper (Unless maybe he has a mansion aka a camper! hahaha!)  I have enough problems.  And I’m not going to tell him about my living situation.  TOO SCARY.  After all, free sleeper or not, he lives in my area.  I’ll just enjoy picking his brain and studying him like a science project.  I know…I’m weird.  I just gravitate toward people who are different.  I’ve always been this way.

I’m not sure what tomorrow will bring so just in case…Have a blessed Christmas Eve and Christmas everyone!

That doesn’t surprise me. You are a woman and it is perfectly natural to be looking for a mate and evaluating men in this way. I don’t think women were meant to be alone for long periods of time. Chauvanistic, I know.

I don’t think it’s chauvanistic at all Ryu. Thanks.
