Quick Article

This article about Angie’s list seems to agree with my (uneducated) analysis of the stock.

Hey, if you’re new to this blog…I write about many things but if you want to read specifically about the van living part of my life, please go to my about page.  Thanks for visiting.

About Maureen, Living in a Van

I'm a free-sleeper living in a van in the prettiest part of the world. I do this partly due to financial circumstances and partly because I love a good adventure.

The stock market is about people and perceptions.

These stock gurus are running their own con. Ask what they themselves invest in – if they invest at all. It’s a different thing to do it with your own money.

“As of this writing, he did not hold a position in any of the aforementioned securities.” – translated, he has no damn confidence in his own ideas, not enough to throw any $$$ at them.

Ryu I don’t think advisors are allowed to hold stocks they advise on as it would be a conflict of interest. In theory they could buy a stock then artificially pump it up by telling people to buy it. So they don’t do that.

Anybody that collects commissions for stock market ( advisers , portfolio managers ) are suspect , they can “advise ” or tout stocks that have some sort of kickback , and like lawyers , right or wrong , they always get a commission
