Sleeping On Concrete

If you need to sleep on concrete and all you have is a sleeping bag or blanket, you will want to get yourself a large piece of cardboard.  In my area it is fairly easy to obtain by looking behind a grocery store.  I guess it really helps insulate you a bit from the coldness of the concrete and makes it a tiny bit easier on the back.

Of course, some people swear that sleeping on hard surfaces cures their back problems so go figure.  I suspect wood would be more comfortable than concrete since it “gives”.

Thank goodness I still have my van.  Still, one of these days, while it’s warm, I would like to sleep on cardboard/concrete.  I consider it part of my education.

About Maureen, Living in a Van

I'm a free-sleeper living in a van in the prettiest part of the world. I do this partly due to financial circumstances and partly because I love a good adventure.
