New Forum Topic-I’d love to hear from YOU!!!

If you are free-sleeping, where do you shower or bathe?

Where do you sponge bathe (I ie. take a whore’s bath…heeheehee), if you need to do that?

I’ve been using the gym for over a year now almost everyday. Occasionally I wash up in a public restroom. Onesies are the best-meaning a room with just one toilet etc. that can be locked. Restrooms with stalls usually don’t give much privacy. I don’t want anyone to know that I am doing a washup…if too many homeless people do this, businesses start locking up their bathrooms where you need to ask for a key to get it.

Since my budget has been getting smaller, I am thinking of my plan B in case I can’t afford my gym membership anymore.

I have heard of a homeless helping place that lets people take a shower once a week. In between, I might be able to use a hose at The Colony. I won’t feel as clean without a shower…but whatchagonnado?

Thoughts, ideas?

Hi Maureen! I am a long time reader going all the way back to City Data where it all started. Are there any 99Cents Only Stores close to you? Not just a dollar store but this particular dollar store. If there are, go check it out. It’s not all crap food, they have real food. If you go, ask them their truck days. Then you will know the best times to go. You can eat well for almost nothing and a lot of their other products are good too, like the laundry detergent. I know they are in California.

Hi Patty, thanks for being a loyal reader. It’s very nice to hear from you!

I’ve been a dollar store/99cent store customer for a long time. You are right they have some decent food there. I even bought organic food there once! In fact, I think I might pick up some sardines there today. Sardines are yummy and full of nutrition. A great way for a woman to get calcium, especially if she can’t have dairy.

Hope to hear from you again soon, my Friend.

Maureen, it looks like things are starting to spiral down for you.

Have you considered going home and regrouping? Maybe saving a little money so you could head out again and enjoy it instead of wondering where your next meal will come from.

    I worry about you.

You are SO sweet to care about me Sharon. I am hoping to get some work soon but if I can’t then I might go home. Keep in mind, home is back East…where right now they are about to get hit with the biggest knows storm in the history of the United States.
