Need Your Feedback Cuz I’m Fat

I need to lose around 60 pounds. Yes, I’m a big fatty these days. It’s SO embarrassing.  I don’t eat the best food out here I guess and the pounds just caught up with me, especially this last year.

What I’d like to do is start a page on this blog chronicling (is that a word?) my weight loss efforts. I’ll even include photos of some of my body parts (but not my face for security reasons). Ugh. It’s not pretty right now. I think some people will find this helpful though and I think the accountability will be good for me. I am a hider. I try to hide my problems and the internet is a good place to hide behind. I can pretend I’m a super model and no one knows the difference until I tell them.

Anyway, what I need help with is a name. I was thinking “Homeless Girl Goes On A Diet” might be good although I confess, I haven’t been a girl for a long time. Girl just sounds better than woman.

What do you think? Do you have any other suggestions for names?

    Probably its several things. One is stress, which increases cortisol. Two is that the cheap food is usually bad to eat.

    Don’t do anything crazy. It takes time. Like a year. Start with small changes, then change a little more when your body adjusts, then change a little more. Don’t use all your artillery until you need it.

    It may help to find some activity you like. Do you train in the gym yet? Can you give us a schedule of what you eat and when?

      What works for me is cutting down on starches & sugar ( i become a cranky witch at the beginning but it gets better ). I increase the fruits & veggies intake & anytime I get hungry I drink a big glass of water before my meals, it fills your belly so U eat less.
      Consistently taking a walk ( every day ) it helps to speed up your metabolism so can burn fat tissue faster, reducing your wt faster.

      Good luck on your diet.If you lost 5 pounds @ month in one year your could look like a model ( just kidding !! ) Truly, SI SE PUEDE !!

    Hum, first off – don’t tell people you are on a diet. Just be accountable to yourself. Nobody can help with weight loss, quitting smoking or any of those things that are difficult to do.

    I quit smoking 12 years ago and nobody noticed for quite a while, it was funny!

    Weight loss, I lost 25 lbs about a year and half ago and have keep most of it off. Hard in the summer, as I can’t leave ice cream alone. What worked for me was the tracking of everything I eat. It is a drag to do but it worked for me, I still do it and I think that is what helps keep the weight off. I would think being in Southern California, you would have access to cheap fruit which would be helpful.

    It is not so much about the food. I am on the journey to lose 150 pounds and am seeing success after many years of bad habits. Get moving. Join the YMCA. You can swim and get a good, hot shower.

    Diet is very important but exercise helps with both your mental health and physical wellness. Also, every bit of muscle you put on works when you’re not working to help you lose weight. That means, yes, weight loss while you sleep. The most important thing I’ve ever recommended to any of the people I’ve helped lose weight is to do things one step at a time. Secondly, it is just as easy to get back ON the wagon as it is to fall off. Just takes a little step. Best of luck and get on it girl!
