Marriage and Children

I’m sitting in a coffee shop typing this.  Ya know, now that they’ve gotten huge, I’m not sure some of these modern day coffee shops really want you sitting in them for long, working on your laptop.  It’s not super profitable for them.  The reason I think they don’t want us hanging around is that they keep the shops SO cold.  It must be 50 degrees in here!   And in some places they play the music really loud.  That’s okay though…I’m a survivor!

I’ve seen lots of sweet children this morning.  I love children.  They are so cute and innocent.  Truly.  I feel sad sometime too, when I see children.  I was a single mom for much of the time while raising my kids.  I was often too busy or stressed to really enjoy them.  I didn’t laugh enough!  I missed out on so much and they missed out on having a happy, fun mother.  All I can do now is tell other mothers, if you have a decent husband try to keep him!  Try to get along with him!  When you think HE’S a problem, look at yourself and see if there are any character issues in yourself that need to be worked on.  Maybe you are stubborn, like I was.  I beg you!  Don’t cheat your children out of their father because of silly pride and an unwillingness to work on yourself.  Don’t cheat yourself out of a husband.  Single parenting is not the optimal situation!

I also try to enjoy my grown children now and hope and pray for lots of grandchildren to love.  It’s never to late for love!

Really? My impression from the few times I’ve been in a coffeehouse is how much they want customers to relax and stay there all day. I don’t drink coffee though. Must get expensive buying ten dollar mocha chocka triple lattes.

Do you remember pre-1995? I’d never seen a Starbuck. Never bought bottled water either. What a strange time we live in.
