Madonna’s brother Anthony Ciccone says he’s homeless???

Madonna’s brother is reportedly homeless and living under a bridge in Michigan after losing his job a year and a half ago — and he’s annoyed that some people might find that amusing.

“My family turned their back on me, basically, when I was having a hard time,” Anthony Ciccone told the Michigan Messenger website. “You think I haven’t answered this kind of question a bazillion times — why my sister is a multibazillionaire and I’m homeless on the street?”

Naturally I have some thoughts about this.  I guess the first one is, if I found my butt homeless in Michigan, I’d beg, borrow or barter my way to a warmer climate.  Perhaps he has children there in Michigan though.  That’s one reason I stay here in California, to stay close to my grown children (and no they aren’t in a position to help me, they are still just getting started).

My second thought is, I’d be too proud to try to shame a famous sibling into helping me.  I’ve been told I’m a bit prideful so I guess that proves it!

My third thought is, what the heck is wrong with Madonna or any other rich person (Obama) who allows a close family member to live in poverty while they lavish themselves with every crazy indulgence under the sun?  The only caveat I would add is that if the sibling is addicted to drugs or alcohol, it wouldn’t be good to give them money as it might make things worse.  Still even in the case of addiction, could a warm place to sleep and some food be provided?

So Madonna can save foreign children by adopting them but he can’t help her brother?  What’s wrong with this picture?

I'm a free-sleeper living in a van in the prettiest part of the world. I do this partly due to financial circumstances and partly because I love a good adventure.

There is alot wrong with not giving the brother at least a enough to help him help himself.

I’ve thought about this whole thing with Madonna and her brother too. She could help if she would. But maybe that would be enabling him. We don’t really know the real situation there. Sometimes not enabling someone to continue on a wrong path means also not helping them at all….and that may just be the best help she could give him.

…or maybe she’s just cruel and selfish. Who knows? ¯\(°_o)/¯

    Stay safe out there.

Sorry folks we don’t know the whole story, for all we know she has helped him in the past and all he does is hold his hand out for more.
