Letting Go

It’s very interesting.  There’s a “spiritual” principle that says if you let go of wanting something, that often times you end up getting it.

For a long time, I wanted my little business to get bigger but I didn’t have money to advertise and it stayed the same for a long time.  THEN when I decide to start an ebay/poshmark reselling business on the side, all of a sudden new customers are coming out of the woodwork!  Well honestly, not too many but enough that I’m scared I won’t have time for my 2nd business!  Weird huh?

Another thing that was amazing is that my daughter is moving back to California.  I did not dream it could happen.  I wanted it but I really didn’t think it would happen.

I’m almost crying telling you  this but she wants FAMILY.  That would be me.  (And some other people too hehe)  She really loves me and wants to be near me even though I lived in my van and I’m opinionated and weird.  I’m the happiest I’ve been in a very long time.

Just wanted to share that with you, my friends.  Thanks for reading.

About Maureen, Living in a Van

I'm a free-sleeper living in a van in the prettiest part of the world. I do this partly due to financial circumstances and partly because I love a good adventure.

I teared up reading this. Sometimes you just have to be very patient with family for things to turn around, or so I am finding.

I am an older woman living in my car and down to my last $1000. I hope that you will keep writing. Maybe you can write a book about your experiences?

I am pretty happy living in my car now but still need to increase income so thanks for letting us know ebay is working out. I could try that.
And thanks for sharing about your daughter. That is great.
        And thanks for posting

I’m glad to hear you’re doing okay. I’ve heard of a couple from youtube that lives in a van together AND sells on ebay. Perhaps you could specialize in small things that can be stored easily such as scarves, old postcards or something like that. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Youtube has tons of videos you can learn from. I recommend Scavenger Life and Suzanne A. Wells.
