Isn’t It Ironic?

It’s ironic that I gave away almost everything I own rather than sell it because I couldn’t be bothered.  It’s ironic because T and J are having their second huuuuge yardsale today before they move so I get to help with selling THEIR stuff.

So it seems, unless I were to go live in a cave and die of loneliness, I’m still going to have to deal with all sorts of things I would rather not deal with.  I may as well jump back on board with society.  It has its’ upside.

Selling Avon is forcing me to talk to more people and that’s good.  Then when the order comes in, I have to organize, deliver and start selling the next campaign.  These sorts of things used to come more easily to me, but now they are a challenge.

One thing is, I LOVE to talk to strangers but now when I do it, I’m supposed to turn the conversation to Avon products or into becoming an Avon representative.  This is hard for me because I don’t want people to feel like I only talked to them to tell them about the Avon opportunity.  I don’t like it when people do that to me but there aren’t too many other ways to find new customers/reps.  I did it the other day for the first time and it went okay.  The woman I talked to wasn’t interested but she didn’t seem upset.  Maybe it will be alright.

About Maureen, Living in a Van

I'm a free-sleeper living in a van in the prettiest part of the world. I do this partly due to financial circumstances and partly because I love a good adventure.

Maybe you could learn some tricks from PU. PU stands for pick up. They use the trickery for bedding women, but perhaps you could use it for sales.

It seems like a person really has to believe in order to sell effectively. Money was never super important to me so I am not a great salemen in most areas. I’m only effective in a few areas that I’m enthusiastic about.
