Ugh. I have been dealing with an agency again regarding housing. How is it so many people get free housing but I seem to have to prove I make $25,000 a year to get it help with housing? Seems like the only way you get help is to be completely helpless. Bah.

So I have a choice; become completely helpless or get my act together and make some decent money. and by decent I mean much more than $25k a year. Or lie. Tell them I don’t make any money.

A lot of people claim they are crazy to get free stuff. I actually probably AM crazy but (warning: conspiracy realism here) I don’t trust the U.S. Gov to not round up the “crazies” and force them to take medication or even force them into facilities. That may seem a little far-fetched to some of you (Lynn maybe?) but it seems to be happening already in some areas.

I'm a free-sleeper living in a van in the prettiest part of the world. I do this partly due to financial circumstances and partly because I love a good adventure.

You won’t like this comment but I don’t trust your government either. I just read a article about the decay of your social services that was pretty scary. I think it is probably very true that there are more services available for those that are dependent than for the working poor. I hope you can find housing of some kind, if that is what you wish.

Re: rounding up the mentally ill, if you don’t have money to properly house, feed and help them get back on their feet, I could foresee the return to institutionalized care which I think is barbaric.
