House-Sitting and Organizing

This should be a good weekend.  I’m house and dog sitting for a friend of mine who lives in the area.  I’ve done this before so his house seems almost like home to me.  He has a pool so if the weather gets warm again, I might take a swim.  I’ll also get laundry caught up and wash my car in his driveway.  To make up for using extra water (not that he’d care, but still) I’ll do some housework for him.

I went to the storage facility yesterday to drop off more things and organize the van some more.  It gets disorganized SO easily!  I may have mentioned, the storage place is close to “homebase” which is my old neighborhood where my condo was.  The reason I stay in this area is that I know where everything is and my clients are here.  I may start over somewhere else eventually but for now this feel comfortable.  Too many changes at once would be much too stressful for me!

Anyway, back to van organizing….so I put a bunch more clothes in the storage…they are things I don’t wear often…maybe once a month or less, so there’s no need to have them cluttering up the van.  The storage is very full now…can hardly get the door shut…and the extra clothes are piled up on top of some boxes.  What I might do is buy a shower rod and put it up there so I can hang my clothes up.  I’m not to trying spend a lot of money but I don’t think shower rods cost too much.  I’ll look at the Goodwill first.  So the storage will be a closet of sorts.  Eventually maybe I will sort that thing out too.  I’d love to take inventory and know exactly what I have and which box it is in.  I might be too lazy to do all that though!!  Just being honest here!

Hope you’re all having a great day!
