I’m leaving for my new neighborhood in just a few minutes. I’ve been mapping my travel routes out and mapping out my day. Trying to have all the businesses I will frequent as close together as possible because my van is not super trustworthy and I don’t like wasting time . Hopefully everything goes as planned. One issue that I can anticipate is that since my “homebase” is near a popular beach town, there is a lot of traffic sometimes and that might make my drive times longer than Mapquest’s estimates.
I might post my schedule in a day or two. One thing that will be very different, beside the fact that I will be working a lot more than I’m used to, is that I’m going to go to the laundrymat every 2 to 3 days. The reason for this is the wrinkle factor. I can’t have wrinkly clothes at my new job so I’ll be throwing 2-3 outfits in the dryer each time I go to the laundry mat to take the wrinkles out. I would like to do 5-7 but when I have too much stuff hanging up in the van, it invariably falls on the floor, usually while I’m driving and gets wrinkled up…two full outfits should be okay though. (I hope I hope I hope). Bonus! According to the interwebs, the laundrymat I will be going to has free Wifi!!!
Another thing is I will go to my gym 2 times a day….on work days at least. The reason for this is I will shower at nite and wash up in the morning. I don’t like washing up at gas stations etc. So I will do upper body or lower body in the morning…I barely perspire at all when I lift weights (I’m so lazy) then wash/get dolled up for work. Then I will do my cardio in the evening and take my shower. Then off to the laundry mat or other activities I have planned for the evening. Sound like a plan? I hope I can stick to it.
My weekends will be mostly for fun. There are some great walking trails near my homebase and also of course, THE BEACH. I’m so excited about living 5 minutes (without traffic) from the beach. I am going to get so healthy breathing in all that fresh ocean air. I also love the kind of “anything goes” atmosphere near the beach. There is something for everyone, rich, poor, artist, athlete, mansion owner or free-sleeper, at the beach. Have I mentioned, I really like the beach!
I keep forgetting to tell you guys and gals, rumor has it, the city I will be free-sleeping in has a large free-sleeping population, including car and van-sleepers. There is a very good soup kitchen there that attracts free-sleepers. The amazing thing is, the cops have been told to leave the free-sleepers (they call them homeless) alone. Isn’t that great! This could be super cool. I like liberals sometimes! 🙂
