Don’t Check Your Brains At The Door

I’ve noticed that many of us humans like to let others do our thinking for us. Perhaps it is a survival strategy. From what I can tell, groups have a better chance of surviving and thriving than individuals on their own do. We need each other. Still, anything can become too extreme.

A few weeks ago I wrote about a woman who rejected some information I gave her saying, “The Lord will take care of everything.” The license plates had expired on her rv and I told her if the cops tried to tow it away, they couldn’t do so if she was inside it.

Well I learned a couple of weeks ago that (of course) the cops did come to tow her vehicle away. I’m told that they gave her an opportunity to move the vehicle but she refused. Then I guess she had some kind of fit and the cops took HER somewhere too. I don’t understand this kind of thinking.

I should also add that this person smokes marijuana (legally). I’m not sure it’s a good idea to smoke too much pot. I’m sure it is very helpful in some cases but I would (and have) rather deal with some pain than mess up my brain.

I hope this lady will be okay. She seems like a nice lady. We’ve got to wise up though. The powers that be in this town want to do away with all the free food services. People might actually have to WORK to have food. Either that or steal it.

During the great depression I’m told that men went door to door looking for work. That would be humbling wouldn’t it? I have considered doing that myself. It’s honest.

Sitting around smoking dope all day and figuring the lord will take care of you doesn’t seem like a good survival plan to me. What do you guys and gals think?

Depends on the situation. I have a friend with MS and she uses it for pain and it helps give her some relief. It is legal in Canada and people can get it for medicinal purposes with a physician prescription. If you just want to smoke your brains out because you have nothing better to do, I think it should be restricted but not criminalized. You can’t stop people from harming themselves. It is a choice.

I agree and said as much in my post. I DO give advice on my blog and I definitely advice against indiscriminate use of drugs. Key word would be indiscriminate. = )

Tho I don’t partake, I don’t consider marijuana a drug. It is illegal in plenty of places but I don’t know any potheads that are messed up enough to stand out in society based on marijuana use. Alcoholics and hard drugs is another story. They should legalize, regulate and tax it.

I know a few people who have smoked pot daily since high school and I do think it has effected them in a negative way. I do consider it a drug but so is caffeine. Still, I don’t think the guberment should be telling people what they can put in their body. It’s a person’s one business and everyone knows most of those jerks use drugs too.
