I haven’t been eating right for the last few months. I’ve talked about it before. When I get free food or if I don’t have enough money to buy the right food, I run into problems. I have allergies and when I eat food that I’m allergic to like bread products or yogurt (which I love) or cheese etc. I break out and/or get a stomach ache or headache. Frankly, I haven’t felt physically well lately.
My very good friend C, who has a little place here in town, has offered to feed me sometimes. She says she ends up throwing a lot of food away because she runs out of places to store it. She cooks amazing gourmet, organic meals a few times a week. I have not been taking advantage of her offer for a few reasons. 1. I feel like a user. 2. I’m not sure if she’s serious (but she KEEPS saying it!) 3. She isn’t a reliable source of food on a daily basis. She doesn’t always cook or she gets busy with outside activities or whatever.
Still, eating at her house a couple or a few times a week will help me feel better I think. She doesn’t have the allergies I have but she doesn’t eat a lot of foods I’m allergic to so it really works out well when I (rarely so far) eat at her house.
I’m going to try it. I’m just going to ask, “what’s cooking” everyday and see what happens. Some days I will get a meal and some days I won’t but at least I will add in some healthier items to my diet.
I’m very blessed. God has put some wonderful people in my life. I need to receive my blessings!
