Busy Busy

Keeping my van AND bike going is a full time job but I fit in a few other things too.

One of my clients is opening a non-profit and wants me to be her first staff member…when she gets everything in place.  We’ll see what happens.  These things take time.  I won’t give up my little enterprise unless I feel that I’m not going to be a slave but rather have a future.  I won’t give up my autonomy for just any little dead end situation.  I let my client know this, in not so many words.  (In a nice way)

Someone found my wallet.  My money was gone ($65) but at least I don’t have to go to the DMV and try to get a new driver’s license.

THEN yesterday I lost a check someone had given to me…and cash.  Thankfully the person dropped it by the home of the person who had written the check.  I got lucky again.  Wow.

I am probably going to go to the doctor soon and see if they will run a few tests on me.  I am getting extremely forgetful.  I suspect it is either caused or exacerbated by stress.  The van stresses me out.

I’m going to try to get housed again.  Then I can get rid of the van.  It’s causing me too much stress.

I don’t know what will happen to this blog if I don’t sleep in my van anymore!  🙁    I guess I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

About Maureen, Living in a Van

I'm a free-sleeper living in a van in the prettiest part of the world. I do this partly due to financial circumstances and partly because I love a good adventure.

Please write about transitioning back from your van to housing, if you do that. You sound reasonable and realistic about whatever you do, and people hoping to transtion to housing might learn from you!

I see this a “rest and regrouping ” , you’ve learned things ( some of then the hard way ) , but you may yet resume the experiment ( so take notes ).

Yes indeed Geezer. Once I am housed, perhaps I can manage to put money aside for a nice camper and actually travel a little! That would be SO neat!
