Such a wonderful idea! I just happened to run across this today after discussing it briefly in a previous post.
Bah! Feminist liberal garbage.
It’s a good idea, but I do not approve of the woman herself. I see she wears no wedding ring and has not been taken by a man.
Her idea of “empowerment” is to get black women to work in her sweatshop. Paying minimum wage, no doubt.
I see she approve of “female independence”, even if it leads to the streets. I imagine that to her, the wife is more in danger than the homeless woman.
Oops, I guess I should have watched more of the video before posting it. I got impatient and ended too early! 🙁
1: She and her NGO is in Detroit , one of the highest Afro-American populations , and the city is so bankrupt that it’s turning off utilities for non payment of ANYONE.
As far as female independence I’ll let this do the talking : http://www.hawaii.edu/hivandaids/Wife%20Abuse%20-%20Fact%20Sheet.pdf. , Being homeless looks better to me.
These days of the net , social programs , and education there is little excuse to stay in thrall to a mate ( male OR female ) other than family commitment ( like kids ) or social/family abuse .
Which is a long winded way to say maybe she couldn’t find a man that met HER standards
What about husband abuse geezer?
Anyway, it was still a brilliant idea from my point of view.
It exists , but support for a single ( by result ) male tends to be almost non existent , the view being that a male can manage for themselves , despite infirmity , mental state , or assumed laziness.
