Better2

I have one client who is across town who I need to either get paid more for or get rid of.  The time may have come to bump up her price. I didn’t want to before because I was afraid of losing her but I always have to remember the law of diminishing returns.  I ask myself, in the long run, is this client situation a positive or negative in my life?  If she fires me because I raise her price, (and it will STILL a great value as I am very under-priced for my level), she doesn’t appreciate me and and doesn’t deserve to be my client.

If you are still reading, thanks so much for listening to my ups and downs.

Sometimes I wonder, does my blog help my readers in any way?  Does it give you strength to know that there is still hope, even for someone on the fridges of society?  Or does it frighten you that a formerly working, functioning person somehow  ends up sleeping in their vehicle?  I hope you will let me know, either by commenting or by sending me an email. I love hearing from you guys.

Have a hopeful day!

!: YOU are the contractor , she is the contractee , if you have more business awaiting , then what is the advantage of keeping her as a client? There had better be , or you are wasting your time ( and thats all we really have ). Start pricing yourself better with new business , you can always come down price-wise , ( and they love a bargain ) , it’s harder to raise than it is to go down in cost.
I come here because your blog helps me think , so all your comments ( warts and all ) are to my advantage.
“Fringes of society” lol , make me laugh , it’s a growing demographic , part of the problem is that is still “early days” , or another way of putting it , You haven’t made all your mistakes yet.
Your previous post on depression……..I have a triple heart bypass , a shoulder that was broken from a car impact ( while I was bicycling , you be careful out there , huh? ), no kids , haven’t been ABLE to work for 4 years ,
I do get down a little once and a while, I guess you can be allowed to

I read your site to understand because I have never been there. It doesn’t scare me but it does educate me and I look at homeless people differently. I live in Canada so I think we have different resources than the US. I do have a brother who is mentally ill and he lives in his own apartment, attends writing, painting classes with the Mental Health group which he really loves. He also has a supportive family so he is doing extremely well and is a functioning member of society. He is on his meds and has been for many, many years. I always think that what if he didn’t have us, his family and live in a country that supports him and makes his life better. He would be on the street and that would be heart breaking.

Maureen, I don’t know the system in the US so I can’t comment but there must be away that you can get back on your feet especially since you are willing to work for it. Keep trying, it will come.

Thanks so much Joe. It would be nice to get donations (who doesn’t like money?) but I fear somehow that the wrong people would get my info because my paypal is connected to my real name email. Perhaps I could fix that though. I will research this when things settle down a little. Thanks a lot for the compliments. Take care.

  4. Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything.
Nevertheless imagine if you added some great graphics or
videos to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is
excellent but with images and clips, this blog could certainly be one
of the most beneficial in its field. Awesome blog!
