Back to Work

Sorry I haven’t written in a while. Decided to hide-out in a motel for the holiday weekend. I didn’t really have anywhere else to go. I had internet access but my tablet is kind of crappy so it would have been too frustrating to try to post.

The motel was pretty crappy. The cops were there twice that I know of, while I was there. I was having drinks with a friend the first time. It was around 8 pm Saturday night and aided by the liquid courage I had imbibed, I felt emboldened to come outside and watch the goings on over the railing (I was in an upstairs unit). I could tell the cops didn’t like that I was watching them. They looked and looked at me. That’s ok. I was looking and looking at THEM too. It isn’t illegal to look at cops.

Well guess what? The cops called for backup so there was a total of three cop cars there AND 6 officers. And guess what? No arrest was made. No ticket given. I talked to the victim after the cops left. And why do you suppose the guy got pulled over? He had a tail light out!

These cops are just bored!

I'm a free-sleeper living in a van in the prettiest part of the world. I do this partly due to financial circumstances and partly because I love a good adventure.

I find that hard to believe that the picture is of a real cop. Someone that overweight would never make it on the force in my city. Most of the cops in Calgary are in good shape.

Why do you hate cops so much? You should really direct your angry to whoever is making the rules. Cops are just doing their job and have to deal with a lot of lowlifes. Personally, any time I have dealt with cops they have been kind and compassionate but then again I don’t live in the US.

Hi Lynn, thanks for coming by. I guess I don’t “hate” cops, per se but yes in the U.S. cops are trained differently now than in the past. They can be quite intimidating. If you are interested, there are tons of videos on youtube that document this.

That is too bad because I think cops should be there to catch the bad guys but also to protect and serve the community regardless of social status. I will check out the you tube videos.
