Angels

I can’t say too much about this but it is looking like I am going to get some help with some things I need to get my business off the ground.  I don’t want to get too excited until it actually happens but it is looking pretty good.

The things I am doing wil help me become more professional and have credentials people like to see.  This will help me get more business.

Will I be the first “free-sleeper” to start and run an official business while “homeless” I wonder?  I think it would change some people’s minds about homeless people if they knew about folks like me.  Hopefully, the word gets out.

I’m still not in a rush to get housed.  It would be great having a place to run things out of but I don’t need the expense.  Anywhere I want to live around here will cost me around $1500 a month and I’m certainly not ready for THAT yet.  Maybe next year though.

The thing is, if I could hold out a little longer, even if my income gets rather good, I can plug more money back into the business if I’m not bleeding money into brick and mortar home.  I dream of buying a better van, maybe a cargo sized van or something and outfiting it comfortably so I won’t mind free-sleeping at all.  You guys will laugh but to me a camper home is like a mansion to me.  Ah but not stealthy enough I guess.  Too bad cops and others are so narrow-minded.

Thanks for reading!

About Maureen, Living in a Van

I'm a free-sleeper living in a van in the prettiest part of the world. I do this partly due to financial circumstances and partly because I love a good adventure.

Ohh! A professional. That sounds expensive:) Let me get my checkbook!

Be careful who you expose your free sleeping to. Most would pity you, as strange as it sounds. Pity isn’t a positive emotion because they then feel superior to you.

None of my clients know unless they have guessed. If they have guessed, they must like me enough not to want to embarrass me.

I don’t think most people really wonder where other people (that they are doing business with) go home to at night unless it comes up in conversation. 🙂

You are probably right! I need to stop worrying about it! At best, were they to look in my van, they might think I’m a messy person. I don’t want to be known THAT way either but you can’t have everything!
