I’ve been eating a little healthier and cheaper this week. I’ve been eating lots of Amy’s canned bean soup (organic and less than 2 dollars per can!). Even more fun, I found quinoa flakes at the health food store. I read on a camping site that this was a good food to travel with because you don’t need hot water to prepare them, just regular water. They will have a consistency similar to oatmeal and quinoa is a decent source of protein. I haven’t prepared any quinoa flakes yet with water but what I did just now is mix it with some applesauce and it was pretty good. I didn’t wait for flaked to soften up. Not everyone would enjoy this but I have pretty simple food needs.
I probably won’t get much done today. I stayed up really late at a party last night and I’m super tired.
Ok that was yesterday’s post. Today I went to brunch with a couple of old neighbors and I’m going on a date tonight. All of a sudden my life got very social. Maybe all this fun stuff will help me with my job search. All the extra endorphins will make everything easier right? I’ve also been working out more at the gym. That’s been a mixed bag because I overdid it on one of the machines and I could barely walk yesterday! Oh well. I guess I’m starting to be a “normal” person again. Weird. It’s enjoyable but I don’t want to lose myself in it. I like being different.
