A timely reminder of why I need to keep security tight.

YORBA LINDA (CBS) — Police are investigating whether there is a link between the fatal stabbings of three different transient men in Orange County over the past ten days.

The body of the latest victim was discovered Friday outside the Yorba Linda public library. The victim, a Caucasian man in his mid-fifties was found dead and covered in blood near a stairwell to the library.

The body was found in plain view of some upstairs windows.

    All stabbings. Interesting. Probably at times like these you wish you lived out in the desert. I’d rather deal with a javalina or wildcat than a killer man. My intuition says that the dead are the homeless who sleep on the streets, rather than in a protected area.

      I agree that these were probably street homeless.

      I can’t move to the desert but as you know, I try to blend rather than hang out with other homeless people or in other typical homeless haunts.

      I was glad I saw this article though because it is a reminder that I mustn’t get sloppy.
